smoke and earthiness add layers of complexity and nuance

I really like the amount of dry extract here as it relegates the still firm tannins to the background and this should age effortlessly for years to come

with restrained tannins and no rough edges

it is impossible to resist

Fourrier, Gevrey Chambertin Clos St Jacques Vv other_regions smoke and earthiness add layersThis is almost as complex and aromatically pure as the 04 with notes of game, crushed herb and minerals that introduce much more structured and intense medium full flavors of obvious class and grace. This is quite an elegant wine with lovely harmony and strikingly good balance. This should age well yet the richness of the material will permit it to drink well young too. A terrific 03. 90 2010+
